A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away... Well, not exactly. Some of the best drama takes place right in our own galaxy, right here on Earth—on the Internet to be precise… And that’s what Binge Wars is all about.
Not familiar with Binge Wars? Going through Star Wars withdrawal now that the last chapter is written? Then kick off your shoes and prepare yourself for an exciting adventure of epic proportions.
But are you prepared to face the dangers that lurk out there…on the pages of the Web. Predators? Child pornographers? Spammers! Well, yeah, but not them. The geeks! You know the kind. They wear Spock ears to conventions and dress as Stormtroopers at movie theaters. And they’re infiltrating the Internet, each armed with the confidence that they are better sci-fi writers than George Lucas himself! And they aren’t afraid to type it…from the safety of their parents’ basements.
They have already written Episode I in their minds thousands of times before The Phantom Menace was released in 1999. They debated what was to come. Theorized about it. And theirs was better! And they let the whole world wide web know about it.
Frame-by-frame, they dissected Menace. Episode II, they could have produced a better film in their own garages. Products of the ‘70s, growing up on what they call the OT (original trilogy), George Lucas ruined their childhoods…
And they let him know it! On the Internet.
That’s because they are lonely. Desperate. They seek the attention and approval of their peers. After all, they may communicate via their computers, but they are human. If you prick them, do they not bleed?
They need love.
And where they lack the popularity—the fame—in the dreaded real world, they find it on the Internet. They’re addicted. They can not turn off their computers. They fight…
Thus begins…Binge Wars…
